Pick and wash

dried romano beans

Place beans in large pot along with enough water to cover well

cloves garlic

dried chipotles

baking soda

Bring to boil then simmer for 2.5 hours until completely softened. Adding water as necessary.

In a separate large pot, cook until lightly browned

onions, diced

oil, bacon fat

Then add and cook out.

3 TBL {19 g}

chilli powder.

Using a spider, transfer beans to onions. Mash or blend until desired consistency reached, adding reserved bean cooking water as necessary.
