The input text box above may be used to scale a recipe, start a timer, search for a recipe, add grocery list items or use it as a simple calculator.
Scaling Recipes
Allows you to scale the quantities of the recipe.
You can enter a mathematical expression for the scale such as 4/5
When a recipe is scaled, the scaled quanities will be displayed in bold.
Only the numbers in the first column of the ingredients section will be scaled. Numbers in the second column will not be scaled. Bear this in mind when scaling recipes.
Reset
Clears the scaled recipe as well as any search results.
Starting timers
Start a timer by typing a number followed by s,m or h. 1m
You an also start a ranged timer by typing 1-3m
Searching for Recipe
Typing a fragment of a recipe name to search for it. Results will appear in a box below the search box.
Calculator
Enter = at the end of an expression to use as a calculator. i.e 3+4= The recipe will also be scaled.
Adding to the grocery List
Click on the checkbox in the right hand column Enter ! item in the input box. Entier !! item in the input box for a bolded version.
Notes on Ingredients
Notes on Scaled Fractions
Quantities listed as fractions such as 1/4 will be rounded to the closest fraction, when scaled.
If there are other quantities such as ml or g, then those scaled units may be more precise.
Automatic Gram Conversion

For ingredients without a "gram" amount present, the page will attempt to convert the quantity displayed into grams. This will be placed in {} brackets after the unit that was used to convert. The ingredient that was used to determine the density will be italicized in the second column.

Not all ingredients may be converted.
