Recipe of 1 cm x 1/2 sheet pan chocolate sponge.

{20 g} 1

cake tray.

Thaw 500 ml of cherries, reserve juice, and then cut in half.

500 ml {127 g}

of whipped cream, stabilized.

Brush sponge with generous amount of reserved (sweeted) cherry juice.

Place cut cherries evenly over sheet.

Add stabilized whipped cream.

Roll, refrigerate until set for a few hours.

Prepare 2 egg recipe of chocolate italian meringue.

Cut 1/4 of log at a 45 degree angle.

Place small end as a V branch to main log. Trim main log so its square again.

Comb meringue over logs to simulate bark.

Place ~ 16 -24 meringue mushrooms over log and base, "glued" in place with butter cream.

Pipe border.

Sprinke Oreo crumbs (1/2 - 1 cup) over board to simulate dirt.

Dust meringue mushrooms with a 1 T cocoa powder. Carefull with ones glue on top of log, so no cocoa gets on cake.
